Chaitra Navratri 2022 Date: Chaitra Navratri is starting from 02 April 2022, which will run till 11 April 2022. The Muhurta of Ghatasthapana will be from 6.22 am to 8.31 am on Saturday, April 2, 2022. During the 9 days of Navratri, some things should be avoided, which are not considered auspicious.


1. Nail biting


Nail cutting is prohibited during the 9 days of Navratri. You must have also seen that many people cut their nails before the start of Navratri, so that there is no need to cut nails in 9 days. It is said that by doing this the Goddess gets angry and then has to face her anger. So avoid doing this.


2. Haircut


Avoid cutting and shaving during Navratri. It is said that a haircut during Navratri reduces the chances of being successful in future. Therefore, avoid cutting hair and beard for 9 days.


3. Non-veg food


Different forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped in 9 days. Goddess devotees keep fast for these 9 days and worship the Goddess. Therefore, one should avoid eating all types of non-veg food during Navratri.


4. Eating Onion-Garlic


Onion and garlic come in the form of tamasic food. Tamasic means that onion-garlic can harm the mind and body. They are also believed to cause mental fatigue. It is not considered good to consume Tamasi foods during Navratri. Therefore, satvik food should be taken for 9 days.


5. Consuming Alcohol


According to religious beliefs, the consumption of alcohol should be completely avoided during any holy ceremony or festival. Chaitra Navratri is considered to be the most sacred for the worship of Mother Goddess, so alcohol should not be consumed during the 9 days of Navratri Puja.


6. Wearing Leather Goods


Avoid wearing leather belts, shoes, jackets, bracelets etc. The reason behind this is that leather is made of animal skin and it is considered inauspicious. Therefore, wearing things made of leather during Navratri should be avoided.


7. abusing someone


One should avoid speaking inauspicious or abusive words to anyone during Navratri. The reason for this is that Navratri is the time to worship and worship the Goddess. If you use the wrong words during this time, then Mother Goddess can get angry. So avoid doing this.
